09 May 12 Karma: How To View It, Use It, and Lose It (Millenial Mind Publishing), by Karen Reed Hadalski, is Released on February 2, 2012

Virginia Beach, VA (PRWEB) February 04, 2012

Karma: How To View It, Use It, and Lose It inspires readers to understand their life circumstances through the prism of being “at cause” and responsible for their lives. It details a method for discovering what lessons, attitudes, and skills need to be addressed in order to make spiritual progress and resolve karmic debts.

Examples of work being done in the fields of: past life regression, hypnosis, and therapy; spontaneous past life recall by children; and near death experiences are provided, as well as profiles of twenty people who have successfully incorporated this law–along with a clear comprehension of the theory of reincarnation–into their lives and work.

What others are already saying:

“There is no greater gift to all beings, both now and in the future, than actively helping those in need. If reading this book makes anyone a kinder person in this life, karma or no, it has done a great service.”

——-Ingrid E. Newkirk, President and Co-Founder of P.E.T.A.

“Ignorance is the refusal to accept facts. Those who refuse to accept the overwhelming evidence of reincarnation, as noted in the works of the researchers referenced in this book, are doomed to make the same mistakes over and over, life after life…”

——-C. Norman Shealy, M.D., Ph.D. Eminent physician, author, and founder of the American Holistic Medical Association

“…Karma is a subject so vast that it presents questions to each of us that will have to be addressed individually. The only way to truly learn anything is to discover the truth for ourselves. But, I assure you: Armed with the insights, information, and thought-provoking points of view packed into this book, the battle is half won.”

——-Lawrence Steinhart, Author: Edgar Cayce’s Story of Beauty Through Health and The Crucial Questions.

“…This world needs more souls who passionately and persistently search for truth and beauty, like Ms. Hadalski…”

——-Len Lear, Editor, The Chestnut Hill Local, Philadelphia, Pa.

“(Hadalski) persuasively insists that we are all connected, not only human-to-human, but also human-to-animal and human-to-environment. Readers will find a need and desire to create balance in their lives; they will understand that their actions affect not only the life they now live, but also those they will come to live. With this common purpose and understanding, singular actions of the individual take on greater meaning and lead to the betterment of all.”

——-Cindy Thibault, Owner and Editor, Pet Tails Magazine

“Spooky?” NO! Interesting? YES, but you need to have and keep an open mind. This book is an eye-opener–a road map to take you to the next level of awareness…. We enjoyed the easy read and would recommend this book to our readers. On a scale of 1 to 10, this is a 10!”

——-Peter Cousin, Insite Publishing, Editor-in-Chief, Village News

Karma: How to View It, Use It, and Lose It is available to booksellers through Baker and Taylor (returnable) and to individual consumers through Amazon.com, pdbookstore.com, Barnes&Noble.com and select bookstores.

The A.V.I.D. program invites distinguished members from the San Diego professional community to speak with students on influential topics like leadership, determination, passion, and the journey to college. Speakers are asked to address the various jobs found within their industry, respective criteria for employment, the day to day responsibilities associated with their role in the company, and their personal journey.

?A.V.I.D. is an incredibly valuable program that levels the playing field for minority, rural, and low-income students who don?t normally have a family tradition of attending college. Having the chance to speak with A.V.I.D. students was an inspiring opportunity, one that reignited my appreciation for the teachers and mentors who influenced the trajectory of my life. I learned more from those students in two hours then I could ever have imagined. In fact, three days later I found myself reciting a similar message to our Management Team at San Diego Law Firm. I?m proud to know that San Diego schools have a program as valuable as A.V.I.D. and teachers like Mrs. Corneilson available to students,? says William R. Simon, Jr.

03 May 12 Brandman University?s Jennifer Tucker Klein, Ph.D., Attends U.S. Department of Education Think Tank on College Completion January 30 in Washington, D.C.

Washington, DC (PRWEB) January 31, 2012

Jennifer Tucker Klein, Ph.D., Assistant Vice Chancellor of Institutional Research and Planning at Brandman University in Irvine, CA, has been invited to attend a one-day symposium on college completion on Monday, January 30, in Washington DC. Yesterday, Tucker Klein joined 23 higher education leaders, 16 well-known researchers, and eight policy experts to identify evidence-based best practices that work to increase college completion. U.S. Department of Education Secretary Arne Duncan addressed the gathering and asked participates to think about innovative, affordable ways to substantially boost college completion.

Dr. Tucker Klein states, ?Brandman University values innovation and I am pleased and honored that we were invited to share our best practices as to how to improve graduation and retention rates.?

Jennifer Tucker Klein, Ph.D. is an institutional researcher and planner who began working in university research in 2002. Prior to joining Brandman University, she held research positions at University of California, Irvine; Loma Linda University; and Mt. San Antonio College. She has also done consulting on usability and marketability for undergraduate online statistics books for Cengage Learning. In addition to research, Dr. Tucker Klein has taught undergraduate and graduate level statistics for Loma Linda University and Brandman University. Her emphasis areas include enrollment analysis, strategic planning, evaluation research of higher education, survey research and analysis, data mining, GIS, and advanced statistical analysis.

Brandman University, a part of the Chapman University System, has been recognized for having a consistently high completion rate. A recent examination has shown that over the past four years, a steady average of 70 percent of Brandman University undergraduate students will graduate within six years.* When asked how Brandman has consistently achieved such a high graduation rate, Chancellor Gary Brahm states, ?Our mission is to support student success. As a non-profit, we invest more in instruction, academic support and student services and do everything we can to ensure that our students will graduate.?

Brandman?s completion rate stands out particularly among institutions serving non-traditional students, many of which have recently undergone scrutiny for low graduation rates and high student loan default rates. ?The completion rate and student loan default rate tend to have an inverse relationship. If you don?t graduate, it becomes harder to pay back your student loans,? said Rita Wilds, spokesperson for Brandman University. Brandman?s 2.3 percent student loan default rate falls significantly below the national average (8.8 percent) and is especially low given Brandman?s mission of educating non-traditional students.*

With a clear vision to be the recognized leader in the evolution of adult learning, Brandman has developed innovative measures that support student retention and completion. In addition to its strong rate of completion, recent success indicators include:

19 Apr 12 Generation Opportunity Responds to Today?s White House Announcement of the Summer Jobs Plus Initiative

Washington, DC (PRWEB) January 05, 2012

Generation Opportunity President Paul T. Conway, former Chief of Staff of the US Department of Labor, responds to today?s announcement by the White House of a Summer Jobs Plus initiative:

“After all but ignoring the negative impact the poor economy has had on the lives and dreams of young Americans, the Obama Administration today announced a short-term effort to create temporary opportunities for young people through a mix of ?internships, mentoring relationships and job shadowing programs.? Ironically, after gluing the feet of the private sector to the floor through more regulations, higher taxes, and an anti-business/anti-job creation agenda, they are now asking employers to run full speed ahead and hire young workers. The reality is that the private sector would already be hiring and would have real, challenging, and satisfying jobs available for young people to launch them into their careers were it not for the extreme amount of government intervention in the private sector through job killing regulations and taxes.

?If Washington leaders want to show true empathy for those without jobs and have a real impact, they would stop pretending they have any expertise with job creation, admit their policies are the barriers to youth employment, and let private employers do what they do best.?

Generation Opportunity commissioned a poll with the polling company, inc./WomanTrend (April 16 ? 22, 2011, +/- 4% margin of error) and a highlighted result for all young Americans ages 18-29 appears below:

Delayed Dreams Resulting from a Poor Economy:
