19 Nov 11 Fully-Automated Workflow Design for Managed File Transfer from Flux

Las Vegas, Nevada (PRWEB) November 01, 2011

Today on fluxcorp.com, Nick McDonald, Flux Technical Support Manager, released his video tutorial titled “Easy Configuration of Workflows in Flux Managed File Transfer”. He offers a step-by-step demonstration of the simple workflow design model that allows managed file transfer operations to be efficiently integrated with other applications, databases, and systems.

Often, with a traditional Managed File Transfer solution, it can be difficult or cumbersome to integrate with other tasks and systems. This isn?t the case with Flux. Unlike any other solution on the market, Flux developers have created a graphical design model that makes workflows quick to configure and easy to maintain, saving operations staff costly hours and developer bandwidth.

With a fully automated workflow design, Flux manages your file transfer tasks with no user intervention required. There is no maintenance or monitoring required ? once the workflow is configured, Flux handles the rest. Should an error occur, Flux still has made it incredibly easy to handle when human intervention is required. With a web-based operations console with dashboard-like display, you can quickly take action, send notifications, and stay on track. The solution also provides cross-platform file transfer support without requiring any special software to be installed on your remote file servers.

“Automation doesn?t mean that Flux is short on capabilities,” states Mr. McDonald. “A high level of security and encryption capabilities are included when your files are in transit across the network and at rest on the file system,” McDonald continued.

Flux, a leading cross-platform workload automation and managed file transfer solution, has once again met the demands of enterprise-level managed file transfers that require more sophistication.

07 Nov 11 Five Trends Impacting Home Exterior Colors and Materials from 2012 – 2015

Kansas City, Kansas (PRWEB) October 27, 2011

According to national color expert Kate Smith, people have conflicting emotions regarding their homes during these economically challenging times. Homeowners want to embrace their need for change and feel positive about their living space by purchasing new products, while at the same time being financially and environmentally responsible. Smith believes the marketplace is seeing a shift to homeowners looking for items that have high value and a long lifespan.

Smith, president of Sensational Color, says there are some distinct trends emerging that will guide homeowners during the next several years. ?People naturally seek newness of colors, products and other items for their home,? says Smith. ?However, this is now being balanced by our concern with greater issues than ourselves. Many of us are willing to tame our desire for newness and change in order to make decisions that have a positive impact on the greater good of the environment and our global community.?

In order to meet these conflicting emotions, homeowners are seeking out better quality products with longer life spans. ?People are educating themselves more these days on the impact a single purchase will have on themselves and on the environment,? says Smith. ?For example, a homeowner may desire real wood shake shingles on a roof, but they understand the lifespan of those roofing shingles is extremely limited. They?re thinking twice about how many trees would need to be harvested to make those wood shingles.

?Instead, that same homeowner is more likely to lean toward selecting a polymer shake roofing tile, like those from DaVinci Roofscapes

06 Nov 11 Nokian Tyres Implements Dock Scheduling System from C3 Solutions

Nokia, Finland (PRWEB) August 19, 2011

C3 Solutions, a provider of software solutions dedicated to the area of yard management and dock scheduling, is pleased to announce that Nokian Tyres, the largest tyre manufacturer in the Nordic countries has deployed C3 Reservations at its key European manufacturing plants and European distribution centers.

Nokian had several key challenges regarding appointment scheduling in their European operation. Raw materials needed to arrive on time at manufacturing plants, finished products needed to be brought to regional distribution centers, and finally product needed to be delivered from distribution centers to local dealers. Furthermore to meet Nokian?s requirements the solution had to be web-based, easy to deploy and functional in multiple languages.

Upon a survey of the market there was one clear choice ? C3 Reservations. It?s a long way from Nokia Finland to C3?s headquarters in Montreal Canada; however it wasn?t an obstacle for the deployment of C3 Reservations. C3?s concise and straight forward approach allowed for a seamless implementation in facilities throughout Europe including Vsevolozhsk, Russia and Nokia, Finland. C3 Reservations is an On-Demand system hence the solution is delivered to Nokian through ?The Cloud?.

C3 Reservations optimizes the scheduling to each type of facility within the network. Nokian is now able to automate the communication between schedulers and 3rd parties, expand the visibility of product movements throughout the enterprise, and provide a means to consolidate paperwork for each shipment. International shipments require volumes of necessary paperwork and visibility of this paper is crucial to expedite the movement of goods for Nokian Tyres. As appointments are made Nokian simply attaches the relevant electronic paperwork to the appointments allowing personnel at the distribution centers to process trailers before they arrive.

?C3 Reservations was the only product that was able to meet our strenuous requirements.?, states Veikko Laukkanen Project Manager at Nokian Tyres. ?We knew that we needed an advanced appointment scheduling system we just didn?t believe there was one out there.?

?More and more we are seeing that companies require features other than automated appointment taking from their Dock Scheduling system.? explains Greg Braun VP of Business Development at C3 Solutions. ?Whether it?s specialized customs documentation, shipment packing slips or load integrity photos, companies need to consolidate all of the electronic documents relating to a shipment or receiving appointment.?

C3 Reservations provides the richness of functionality and user interface that is expected in desktop software but delivered via the internet. On-Demand or cloud software reduces a company?s total cost of ownership by eliminating on-site servers and the associated IT costs.

About C3 Solutions

C3 Solutions is a leading provider of software solutions dedicated to the area of yard management and dock scheduling. C3?s customers are fortune 1000 companies in the retail, manufacturing, transportation and post and parcel industries. 08 Oct 11 Dimoco, Major Telecommunications Company in Austria Deploys ZK Over GWT Taking a Step Ahead From Competitors

London (PRWEB) October 04, 2011

In an era of excessive web applications, it is important for companies to establish themselves apart from their competitors in order to stand out in the market. In Austria, international mobile service provider Dimoco adopted UI framework ZK as a base over GWT for developing their administration GUIs effectively setting the company apart from their competitors with behind-the-scenes Ajax technologies, pure Java development, server-centric architecture offering high levels of productivity and security and eye-catching interfaces able to configure or generate statistics for business customers for monitoring SMS traffic, mobile data payment and campaign data.

As Dimoco has positioned themselves as a flexible and innovative company, it was of extreme importance to create a GUI that is good looking yet prominent enough to distinguish themselves from competitors which makes it the greatest challenge of the project. The criteria for the new web framework was one with the right balance between simplicity in developing such that JavaScript and HTML coding are reduced to an absolute minimum, potential of customizing ?everything? down to the last detail whilst maintaining high performance and high security level.

During the evaluation process, the team first considered Richfaces, ICEfaces and JSF but the possibility was soon deterred by the complexity and configuration required for the frameworks. Next, GWT came into the picture but was overturned when the team discovered ZK and was fascinated by the beauty of it. The main advantage of ZK is in its possibility to describe a GUI in XML while all XML elements are available in Java code and in general requires less lines of code to achieve for the same functionality and effect for ZK than for GWT. Adding to the basket, the evaluation team was also impressed by ZK?s Demo site where ZK components can be coded and tested on the fly.

?The simplicity to add UI components programmatically and the handsomeness of the components as a whole convinced the evaluation team,? says one of the evaluators from Dimoco.

About Potix

Potix Corporation develops and supports ZK, the #1 Java based Ajax solution on SourceForge.net, the world’s largest open source host. Innovation is the most driving force behind the growing Potix. Potix delivered the first Ajax framework to support Java and Android phones, the first embeddable Ajax spreadsheet, and the first to synergize the power of pure Java, markup and scripting languages.

ZK has more than 1,500,000 downloads since its first release in late 2005. ZK is deployed by a large number of Fortune Global 500 companies, including Barclays, Societe Generale, Swiss RE, eBay, Roche, Deutsche Bank, Sony, Sun Microsystems, Audi, EMC and Toyota, providing them with the ability to rapidly create rich Ajax enterprise level applications.

19 Aug 11 Rugged, Battery-Powered Server from NextComputing Brings Local Cloud Computing to the Field

Nashua, NH (PRWEB) August 11, 2011

NextComputing, a leading provider of portable workstations and dense, small-footprint servers, announces a new rugged portable server solution for forward deployed military environments or any remote location that requires enterprise computing resources. The Vigor EX-B is NextComputing?s first completely battery-powered and fully mobile rugged server, able to run on its own internal power for up to 4 hours. Designed to support tactical operations centers and other mission-critical environments, the Vigor EX-B is the ideal platform for delivering virtualized ?local cloud? computing services to multiple users in a remote setting.

As cloud computing continues to grow across multiple industries, off-site operations are often seeking solutions to provide these types of services in the field. While traditional rackmount servers can do the job, these systems and their associated rack infrastructure ? including power conditioning, switching, KVM, etc. ? are often impractical in a tactical environment where size, weight, power and mobility are important factors. Electrical power is usually unreliable in these situations, and a typical UPS (Uninterrupted Power Supply) can only run a server for a very short period of time. And though laptops are usually the preferred platform for client systems, these computers are not up to the task of running multiple concurrent applications and operating systems with virtualization ? a requirement for deploying cloud services.

NextComputing solves these problems with the Vigor EX-B. Most importantly, the system is designed from the ground up for portability, reliability, and performance. The server?s rugged anodized aluminum chassis with both interior and exterior rubber shock absorbers insures that the system will hold up to the rigors of field use. With its integrated Lithium-ion battery, the unit is able to run for up to 4 hours on battery power alone ? unheard of in a server. The Vigor EX-B is also based on Intel
